    MATT RIGGLE
    July 2026

I first met Matt when I was 14 and he was a few years older, in a band with his brother called Ed Banky’s Car. I was lucky enough to work with him at Laser Trax in Arlington, TX, and we bonded over a shared love of pop punk, humor, and earnestly trying to figure it all out.

Matt’s lyrics have sung over major phases of my life since, as I wear out one record after another as they come out. Now, I have the pleasure to work with him to examine those lyrics apart from the music and to publish an interview between us still earnestly trying to figure it all out.
