We have a book of flash fiction from Autumn Bettinger called Belladonna coming out in late January 2026

and a book of poetry centered around love from Erin Clarke called Absolutely Always coming out in February 2026

Matt Riggle (whose bands’ songs have been in rotation on the playlist of my life for the last 30 years) and I are working together to put out a collection of his lyrics as poetry, preceded by a conversation between the two of us, coming out in Summer 2026.

What’s next?… My book is next, and there’s cool merch for sale in the shop, I’m laying out Autumn and Erin’s books… Anyway, selling mugs is what Friendly Monster Press primarily has going on for the month (mugnth?) of December. Then, in January, the reading begins

I’m on day three of being sick. On the good side of being sick, I’ve been productive at things I can do from bed, which includes laying out books and talking cover design with the authors.

Still, I’m really hoping to accomplish out of bed things like vacuuming and buying groceries today

I’m back from Ft. Worth, TX for my friend Jeff’s funeral. His bandcamp page is linked here.

I haven’t slept much in days, but mostly due to travel, beds that spend most of their time not being beds, and a flippant attitude toward caffeine consumption and timing.

I had such a wonderful time traveling to Texas with a friend and hugging 30 people I hadn’t seen in 20 years. We spent a lot time at the Showdown and the Boiled Owl hanging out with the homies from way back.

We were all wearing our hearts on our outsides that night and mostly smiles on our faces. I hope people mostly got to say the things they wanted to say to at least someone.
